Ramiele is pulling herts alone and sounding great to start andlooking fine in the boots and some leg. She hits a few notes that weren’t quite pitch perfect but not bad and hse hits my favorite parts just right. Randy was not happy. Paula liked her knowing she was sick. Simon thinks she will make it.
Does Sting. Fragile is nice, but nothing really special. Randy says it was nice but it wasn’t special. Paula liked it, but didn’t see any wow either. Simon wasn’t impressed with the performance. He didn’t really hate it, but didn’t think it was serious enough to win.
Syeshais is another 1987 kid. She doesn’t sound bad doing Gladys Night’s If I was your woman. It was nice, but not really special. Randy and Paula love it, but Simon didn’t think it was as good as the others in the end.
Chikezie is a child of 1985. If only for one night comes out a little pitchy at first, but not a bad rendition. Not as nice as Luther but who is. He pulls it out in the end though. Randy doesn’t love this. Paula found it nice. Simon misses the personality, but thought it was sang well.
MBrooke is going to sing The Police. Every Breath you take is one of my favorite Police songs and the one I was hoping she would do when I figured out when she was born. This might be her best performance yet. Randy was okay with it, didn’t like the bands arrangement. Paula liked it. Simon didn’t like the band coming in, but thinks it was good enough to come back. She started and stopped, which is an amount of realism that I really like. She knew it was right on the first bar and said.
Michael is a child of 1978 doing Queen. He rocks us with We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. It wasn’t Freddy and the boys, but it shouldn’t be either. Randy thought it was his best performance yet. Paula was impressed. Simon though though this was the first time he had seen star potential out of Michael. It was good, but I would have like to have heard his other choices.
Carly is a virgo of 1983 and I am in love. Total eclipse of the heart is a great choice of song for her. if she deserved to be in the bottom last week she deserves to be in the top this week. Randy didn’t think it was the right song for her. Paula loved it. She would buy anything Carly records. Simon didn’t think something worked right for him. He didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t great. I thought so except the last note, but so what the rest of the song was great.
Archuleta will probably make me hate him a little more this week. As a Child of 1990. The clip of his older sister was hot. You’re the Voice starts rough and the band is over powering. The problem with having a great sound system hooked to your tv is you have to hear bad songs done horribly. Randy loved it. Paula thinks he can sink the phone book and it would be good. Simon thought it was at best a theme park performance better suited for Chuckee C Cheese. I think there was a slam at David’s Daddy.
Kristy Lee Cook is another child of 1984 is brave doing God Bless the USA it seems to suit her voice. If she is going to go out pissing Simon off would be the way to go and I doubt he likes this one. I like it much better than the original. Katy thought her best performance yet. Randy liked it. Paula thought it was a good choice. Simon says best performance by a mile.
Cook pulls an original acoustic version of Billie Jean. This makes me a fan. I hope he ends up not winning so he can make the album he wants, rather than the album the producers want. He let his voice go to town. I was hoping at first he would pull out the guitar and rock 1982, but this was great. Randy thought he could win it all. Paula said brilliant. Simon said brave and amazing.. This was one of the best cover songs of anything i have ever heard. I would still have loved him to whip out the guitar and tried Crimson and Clover.
All in all only David Archuleta sucked tonight. I hope he goes home.
