Will The Dark Knight soon be joining the company of Lord of The Rings: Return of the King, Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest and Titanic? It may already be there, acccording to some sources. As of midweek, box office numbers had the blockbuster at $996 million dollars, so it’s quite likely that with unreported grosses, TDK is number four on that very exclusive list. But why isn’t the studio crowing with triumph? Warner Brothers may very well be waiting for the DVD release which is on December 9. Warners is boosting The Dark Knight’s release by 200-plus theaters this weekend. Is this an attempt to boost the already great numbers for the film. (more…)
