Today for those who have figured it out is Cinco de Mayo, that is the fifth of May for all you gringos of varying neck colors. This is the biggest thing happening on the pop culture beat which is exactly why I am not going to talk about Mexican music, movies, food or anything else all those others are catering to.
As Americans we love to celebrate any holiday that gives us an excuse to drink and pretend we are all inclusive. This just proves we have it within us to be inclusive but usually are just too big an asshole to do it. The majority of Americans including blacks and a lot of other minorities treat Mexicans in this country as the lowliest of the low. We don’t even give them the courtesy of second class citizens, we treat them like second class people, and often times not even giving them the courtesy of treating them like people. I am ashamed of Americans and America when I see this happen.
So as you celebrate Mexican independence by chasing your Cuervo with a half off Corona, order up that second ice bucket of Dos Equis, or wait impatiently with the wait staff at Chili’s try and think about those dirty wetback you get so disgusted with on a daily basis because they aren’t speaking English.
Also when you get home and fucking sober up trying doing a web search and find out the facts. Since you’ll probably forgotten what you supposedly went out to celebrate so let me help you. Most people of Mexican descent in this country are birth citizens, not illegals. Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day which is in September. The day celebrates the Battle of Puebla, with the Mexican trouncing those arrogant frogs the French. Not everyone you hear speaking Spanish on the street is Mexican. Last but not least if the current immigration laws existed when your forefathers came to this country, most of them would never have been let in either and if they were they would have been chastised for not “speakin’ right good amur’kan too!”
For those who this message actually makes think try being inclusive by making those who don’t speak this language feel welcome enough to learn it.

Hey Moron! It is not, as some believe, Mexico’s Independence Day. The festivities that occur on the fifth day of May commemorate a battle that was fought almost 50 years after Mexico declared its independence from Spain. If you are going to rant at least get your damn facts straight.
