In the continuing saga of Project Runway, the Weinstein company has added yet another nasty layer. Papers were filed in New York federal court by Weinstein claiming they were wronged by Bravo’s intentional refusal to promote the show’s most recent Season 5 run. According to the papers, Weinstein said Bravo sabotaged both Runway’s ratings and value by running very few ads — which were referred to as “mundane and unappealing” — and also claimed the network was far too lax with providing press info for the season premiere and/or revealing spoilers for future episodes. Bravo’s parental unit, aka NBC Universal, released the following statement: “Not only do we categorically disagree with the Weinstein’s Co.’s assertions, but the fact is that Season 5 was the most-watched and highest-rated Project Runway cycle ever.” Either way, Runway fans are hoping this gets resolved soon.
Robert Downey, Jr will be donning the Iron Man suit for quite a while longer, according to Variety. Not only is Iron Man 2 a go, but the star has also inked a deal for a third installment and will play the hero in the upcoming Avengers movie. Jon Favreau, who is set to helm the second “Iron Man” pic, will also exec produce “The Avengers,” which is scheduled for release on July 15, 2011. The movie will unite the Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Incredible Hulk characters.
And finally news from the world of TV. NCIS producer Shane Brennan was more than willing to part with this morsel: “Jack Gibbs is in his son’s future. He’s proved immensely popular, and at some time in a future episode we will revisit the character.” Also there’s big Ducky stuff coming. “Ducky will face the biggest emotional challenge of his life in an upcoming episode,” he teases. “And yes, we will take a revealing peek into his private life.” Chuck creator and producer Josh Schwartz, says that the upcoming arc featuring Chuck’s ex, Jordana Brewster, features some “juicy” Chuck-Sarah stuff. “We’re always talking about how far you can take them…and how quickly. It was very emotional and honest between those two characters very early in the season, and Jordana’s arrival throws a wrench into all of that. The relationship will continue to unravel, but I think you’ll see in November sweeps that it will really heat up.” And JJ Abrams’ hit Fringe has a big cliff-hanger planned for its Dec. 2 episode, titled “Safe.” How big? While the team is investigating a series of weird-ass robberies, one of the major players gets kidnapped.

Are you saying there’ll be a Captain America and Thor movie prior to the Avengers movie? If so, this is the first I’ve heard of it, but again, if so, it sounds awesome!
I’m not saying anything of the sort. If you go back and read the post the only date I state is for the Avengers movie. I don’t give a date for either Captain America or Thor as the source I was citing (Variety) did not report a date for either of those. The post just states that those two characters will be the Avengers movie. However, I have read rumors that there will be both a Captain America and Thor movie, but as soon as I get any information, I am sure it will get posted here.
