Another What’s Hot, coming right at you! Spoilers for Heroes, Bones and Smallville in this entry.
I reported a few days ago about Lionsgate securing the rights to a third season of Mad Men, but that they didn’t have series creator/producer Matthew Wiener. Turns out he’s not the only one who hasn’t negotiated a contract with the production company, neither have the actors! OOPS! AMC doesn’t have contracts with any of the cast, but especially not with breakout star John Hamm. If he doesn’t sigh he could turn his Emmy-nominated fame into a serious movie career, so AMC is finding itself in a curious position and it could cost them big time. But fans of the show need not worry too much. Rumor is that most of the plotlines will get resolved in the season ender, just in case there is no more show.
Gillian Anderson, star of the popular sci-fi show The X-Files, has given birth to her second son and third child. Felix Griffiths, weighing 6 lbs., 15 oz., was born Oct. 15 in London, says rep Kelly Bush. Felix is her second child with boyfriend Mark Griffiths, they have another son, Oscar who is one. Anderson also has a daughter from a previous marriage, Piper, age 13.
Finally, TV news. Both The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Knight Rider have been picked up for full seasons by their respective networks despite sagging ratings. News from Heroes is that Elle will return next week, but that her power is controlling her and that she is going to turn to Claire for help, that should be interesting. And, remember that future!Sylar had a son? We will be getting to meet the woman who may be his mommy in upcoming episodes and it turns out Sylar knew her when he was just plain old Gabriel Gray. On Bones, both leads will be having interesting romantic tangles. Brennan will be kissing someone who is NOT Booth and our favorite FBI man will be tripped up by a female agent who takes over a case for him. And on Smallville, views will find out why Lana returned, where’s she’s been for the last three months and why she left a video goodbye for Clark. Oh, and Chloe’s wedding reception will not turn out as planned.
