What’s Hot is kicking it old school today, so get out the acid washed jeans, the mullets and lighters and let’s go! Spoilers for Smallville, Prison Break and The Sarah Connor Chronicles in this issue.
Angelina Jolie reveals to W magazine that she never intended to get pregnant, but that falling in love with Brad Pitt changed her mind. “I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to (getting pregnant),” she says. “I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain.” Jolie graces the cover of the magazine in a photo taken by Pitt. The photo shows her breastfeeding one of her newborn twins (though nothing is visible and it’s quite tasetfully done). “I’m with a man who’s evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created,” she says. “He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier.”
1988, back when MTV was still playing music videos, all those who considered themselves fans of heavy metal now had a show that was going to showcase their passion, Headbanger’s Ball. Though it still airs, albeit it on MTV2, MTV is going to honor the 20th anniversary of the show. Highlights are going to include an interview and live performance by Headbangers favorite band, Metallica, the premiere of Slipknot’s “Dead Memories” video and a heavy metal panel featuring the show’s past VJs like Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and the show’s most memorable host, Riki Rachtmann. Celebrations begin October 20th on MTV2.
Odds and ends from the world of television. USA network has confirmed that it is renewing favorites Psych and Burn Notice for a fourth and third season respectively. Though Smallville favorite Michael Rosenbaum left the series, if producers have their way, you’ll be at least hearing from Lex Luthor very soon. Good news for fans of Prison Break, the show will be getting a full 22 episodes. And in casting news for The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Richard Schiff (The West Wing) and Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) are going to be guest starring in an upcoming episode.
