Docs Tell Janet Stop Touring Rob Thomas On New Show Heroes Spoilers

What’s Hot is back in action. Some days entertainment news is hot and heavy, others, not so much. Anyways, like the headline says, today’s edition contains some major spoilers for Heroes, so beware!

Doctors ordered Janet Jackson to cancel yet another date on her Rock Witchu tour yesterday. Sickness has been plaguing the singer, who has already cancelled nine shows and is looking to cancel another in Madison Square Garden on Thursday due to scheduling issues. She had been set to play Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y, but a message on resorts website stated that the concert had been postponed “due to doctors’ orders.” There is still no word from anyone as to what exactly it is that Ms. Jackson is suffering from, but one of the more prominent rumors is that she’s pregnant. Courtney Ann Galiano and William Wingfield start off with a Hot, Hot Hot Samba! which all the judges loved. The judges loved it. They all said there were some technical issues, but the chemistry made up for it by a high degree.

Comfort Fedoke’s solo is hot! They way her hips and legs moved spoke to parts of me with no ears.

Mia Michaels gets to choreograph Twitch and Katee. We get our first stage kiss in the boyfriend girlfriend number between them. Nigel is going WOW! The performance was fantastic. It was one of the most entertaining dances they have ever seen is his final comment. he gets his usual banter with Mary. Mary loved it with a serious scream. Toni Basil loved it. No note taking because she couldn’t stop watching.

William Wingfield is James Brown in his solo. The music is great and with the wig on he looks like Debbie Allen moving a young James around the floor. he gets the standing O from the judges.

Mark and Comfort pick Hip Hop and draw Napoleon and Tabitha. Detention was never so fly. The over the head backflip was hot! Nigel thinks comfort is a much better hip hop dancer when she is choreographed than when she goes solo. Mary thought it was excellent and Mark nailed it. Toni recognized how hard it was because she takes classes from Napoleon and Tabitha.

Katee’s solo showed off how well she moves and her musicality. it reminds us why she was picked in the first place. i am still missing Natalie Reid though, her roommate. We haven’t seen her in the audience, which might mean there is nothing to the rumors the two of them are lesbian lovers.

Chelsie Hightower and Joshua pick the Argentinian Tango and get choreographed by SYTYCD Season Two dancer Dimitri. This is Chelsie’s second go with this dance and it is far superior this this time. Mostly I think it worked because of Josh’s strength and power to go along with her grace and beautiful body. For me Josh looked a bit uncomfortable, but the judges all loved his performance as much as hers. Well I think Nigel Lythgo enjoyed his dancing, but like me, I see how he looks at Chelsie and know there is no way he is enjoying any dude as much as he is her.

Mark’s solo is always well done and interesting, but what is up with the Faux-hawk?

William Wingfield and Courtney Galiano perform a slow hip-hop. The theme is to turn back time and be with someone you love just once more, ala Ghost. As much as I love Demi Moore, I would much rather rolla around int the wet clay with Courtney Ann Galiano. Nigel was emotionally moved. Mary Murphy was blown away. Toni Basil said great art makes you feel, and she was feeling alot of things about this performance.

Chelsie Hightower’s solo was beautiful and showcased her wonderful legs. it is also her birthday, but that is not any better of a reason to keep her around than the fact that she is hot. Okay on that note maybe it is a good reason.

Twitch and Katee Sheen are up next. She is dressed in a shiny red dress for this Tyce Diorio number. Choreographed to Sweet Georgia Brown her little ass wiggle is going to be YouTube Fodder for some time to come.

Joshua’s solo is his typical coolness.

Courtney Galiano’s solo was beautifully matched to Missy Higgins’s Where I stood. I always feel something when this song is played and watching her dance with such joy to it nearly brought me down again.

Comfort and Mark get the foxtrot as their second dance. Choreographed by Jean Marc Généreux and and France Mousseau. Jean Marc and France heen together since 1977, which incidently is how long Penn and teller have been together who the pair of them remind me of. France is the quiet Teller to Jean Marc’s Penn. This means she is actually the brains of the duo.

During the interview phase Marc looks uncomfortable touching her, like he is just uncomfortable touching girls. This doesn’t translate well into the perception of the actually routine, especially when it is as bad as this one is. Gay straight or otherwise if the guy leading the routine doesn’t look happy about his partner being a girl, America will have a hard time voting for them. After the performance, it wouldn’t have matter if he had his head or hand up her dress getting her off for the entire time, I don’t think America would vote for them. okay maybe they would for that, but anything less than that probably not.

Last but not least Chelsie and Josh go Night Fever with disco. it was fabulous. The judges all loved it. Toni though made it clear that they stole the show with it.

Popping Kourtni Lind’s Dream

I was stunned by this weeks departure of Kourtni Lind. I wasn’t so surprised by Matt going, but I am highly disappointed by Kourtni’s dismissal, not just because of my crush on her either. Nigel seemed to be very bitter about it too. I can understand it in him.

We won’t ever know the full details about what went on behind the scenes, but here is what I think might have happened. There was never any real danger to Courtney Galiano with the way she performed this week. When you compare Kourtni Kind with Comfort Fedoke, Kourtni was without a doubt in my mind the superior dancer with a record of proving it. If this was like American Idol and the black woman was chosen for a less performance, I would have screamed bloody murder. responding to every blog I could find that said how wonderful Comfort was and agreeing with everyone who said they weer trying to please a demographic. This decision however was not about Kourtni nor Comfort.

This post could have just as easily been title It Is All About The Thayne. Thayne Jasperson actually came alive this week not just with his solos, but his performance skills shined too. It was tough competition for everyone and someone had to be in the bottom three. I think America did get it right too, despite my crush on Kourtni. This showdown was between Matt who we had seen better from and Thayne who was growing. The choice was obvious. However the other choices were not so obvious. Read more

cat deeleyThe So You Think You Can Dance top 14 dance their hearts out tonight with two dances by different choreographers. First of all I need to say Cat Deeley as always was beautiful, and looked fabulous, especially in comparison to the grey dress she wore last week. I should also point out the disclaimer that I have a big crush on Cat Deeley, big enough that my wife has said if she will come to our bed, she would accept it as being fate.

450x337_jessicawill_jive70208.thumbnail SYTYCD Top 14 Dance Round 1The first couple up tonight were Will and Cynthia Rodriguez Jessica King dancing the jive by Tony Meridith and Melanie Lapatin. Jessica’s normal bounciness seems quite bounciness seems appropriate for this dance. They look wonderful in their costumes tonight and pull off a respectable jive. If there was a stronger partner it would most certainly be Will. The judging lets them know they were off to a rocky start. Be glad there are two dances tonight.

So You Think You Can Dance Results 6-26-08

With only one hour to fit in a bunch of commercials, two promotional performances, and six solo dances the show strikes hard and fast. We have intro then commercials. The opening number was a Mia Michael’s piece with a lot of percussion. Musically it felt somewhere between We Will Rock You and the dance scene in The Matrix Reloaded. Visually it felt like it could have opened a mid eighties Tom Petty video.

Back from commercials we have Cat Deeley in a less than flattering grey dress. Without the big ruffle in the top front or if the dress were backwards or upside down, it would have been much better. Without any delay she tells Chelsea Traille and Thayne off to warm up their solos. No Surprise that the next couple is Chris and Comfort Fedoke. I called both of those.

The final couple in the bottom three was going to be a hard choice since everyone else was so good. I am not really surprised that it ended up being Kourtni Lind and Matt. Their piece was experimental and slightly weird which made it stand out, but it also made it something some people just didn’t get. It was a risk that was beautiful, but America didn’t think enough of it to put them higher. They dance for their lives. Read more

SYTYCD Returns With 8 Couples

This week on Dance Dance Revolution So You Think You Can Dance we start of as usual with the beautiful Cat Deeley. We can not see through enough of Cat’s dress. What a shame! As short as the dress actually is it isn’t short enough for me, nor do I expect that we will get any really good camera angles of the woman I would give my right nut for.

The eight returning couples are Twitch and Kherington Payne, Courtney Ann Galiano and Gev, Chris and Comfort, Will and Jessica King, Kourtni Lind and Matt, Thayne and Chelsea, Mark and Chelsie Hightower, and Katee Sheen and Joshua. In case I didn’t say it before Cat’s dress isn’t short enough for me.

The night was about getting right down to it. Opening number and bam we are into eliminations. The first to be told they would be dancing for their lives are Chelsea Traille and Thayne Jasperson. The ever exciting Twitch and extraordinarily beautiful Kherington Payne along with Joshua and ever so cute Katee Sheen were both safe as they should be.

Chelsie Hightower and Mark are featured next. We get so see more crotch in the recap. Then are promptly told that with luck we will get to see more of it next week. Next we get a featurette of Matt Dorame and Kourtni Lind alongside Will Wingfield and Jessica King. After a tense moment they were told that they are both safe. I personally was a bit worried because neither of them deserved to be in the bottom three couples. I also said they were safe and hate being wrong. Read more

DDR 18 goes to 16

Last week on Dance Dance Revolution we lost ballerina Rayven and I lost my chance to fantasize about her and Summer Glau. Cat is looking absolutely hot and I am hoping for some high kicks I know won’t materialize. This week we get to see what everyone loves and hates about their partner.

Thane loves Chelsea’s positive attitude but her sleepy time activities. She can’t stand his superstitions. Their outfits are tragic, but at least hers shows off her fabulous body. I wasn’t impressed with the dance. Mia thought it was great concept but there wasn’t carry through. It didn’t work for Mary. Nigel thought it wasn’t believable and hated the outfits. I have to agree thane was supposed to be a king but came off looking like a gay figure skater. Not their faults though on the outfits, but it didn’t help them.

Mark loves Chelsie Hightower’s shampoo, “it smells so good!” I would put my head places to see if all her hair smells that good, but being dance partners he could probably tell us that too. She loves his quirky attitude. After seeing her I think her personality is really coming though and makes her even hotter. Their Argentine Tango is supposed to be hot, and she pulls it off. He highlights her well. Mia loves Cat, but thinks the couple are pretty good too. Mary loved everything. Nigel thinks the dance was nice, but it was supposed to be sleazier. Read more

DDR Goes To 18 Tonight

catdeely61108 DDR Goes To 18 TonightKherington and Twitch are the first to be brought up on stage tonight. The judges and the crowd enjoyed them and so did America, they are safe.

Chelsea and Thayne are the next couple. Dan is repeated as having said that when Chelsea made eye contact with him, that Nigel didn’t know what to do with himself? I think he wanted to touch himself.

Chelsie Hightower  and Mark who performed Mia Michael’s version of a Tim Burton wedding were gooed and gawed over by the judged. Then all of a sudden both Chelsie and Chelsea along with their men were safe.

Matt and Kourtni are next on the stage and if they aren’t safe I will be surprised. They are however the first couple who is in trouble and dancing for their lives a little later.

Susie and Marquis were safe without a doubt.

Comfort and Chris are next. after dislocating her shoulder carried the routine.

Rayven and Jamie did an odd hip hop number, but end up in bottom three. Nigel said it might not be memorable and in truth says the only thing he remembered was Rayven pulled down Jamie’s pants.

Katee Sheen and Joshua are showcased next, and now that I have seen it a couple of times, I am rather more impressed with it than I was last night. They are safe. Read more

Dance Dance Revolution is Down To 20

Soon the 20 people showcased in the So You Think You Can Dance opening will be down to 18. Judges tonight are Dan Caraty, Mary Murphy and Nigel Tuffnel Lythgoe. Nigel starts out by tell Kat what lovely legs she has and how any dancer would kill to have them. What he fails to mention is there isn’t a straight man with a pulse who wouldn’t kill to find himself between them. Cat is HOT!

My Favorites of the Top 20 are Katee, Jessica, Kherington, and Chelsie with Joshua, Gev, and Twitch for the guys.
