Lovely Latinas - MSN
[ad]The list of Lovely Latinas from MSN this morning makes me cringe. Many of the stars pictured are very lovely, but I think the list went out of their way to pick horrid photos. I have seen prettier pictures of corpses a few days old than some these. The lighting was horrid, the expressions mostly distasteful and frankly the photographer either was blind or purposely made the shot awful.
Here are a few of the highlights
J. Lo who I don’t find attractive on even the best of days looks like she is wearing a christmas tree skirt with a body that is too big for her neck and head.
Jessica Alba, quite possible the hottest of the list, looks like she is on the toilet taking a crap. Unfortunately she still has all her clothes one so don’t get your hopes up for a skin show
Eva Mendez looks like she is trying to keep a booger from from falling out of her nose.
Catalina Sandino Moreno has an adorable smile, but it still looks like she has been caught farting.
Eva langoria is clenching her teeth so no one can tell she is clenching her but cheeks while she looks for a bathroom sign.
Semla Hayak doesn’t have a horrible photo, but I am posting the highlight because someone just needs to point out how impressive her chest is naturally.
Jasleen Gonzales is the top model from where, Concentration Camp Emaciatia?
Gloria Estafan is still looking good and for a woman as old as she is with as many problems as she has had physically that is saying something. If most women could look that good at half her age the world would be a much prettier place.
Rita Morena looks good for 76, not as good as Gloria will look at that age for sure, but this photo might not be Rita. Frankly it looks like a pretty good pic of a aging drag queen still trying to be fabulous.

[ad]This week around the Blogosphere
Anyone who blogs and reads blogs will know this week that WordPress 2.5 was released finally. Many of you will also note that many bloggers didn’t put much care into their upgrade. At least this wasn’t as bad as an MS Vista release.
In Music NPR has had a pretty good Song of the Day this week. Thursday is Born a Woman by Nick Lowe. It is a great melody with some poignant lyrics. I am not really familiar with Nick’s music but the feel of this song had a definite Fountains of Wayne feel for me. Wednesday was Wonderwall by the Brad Mehldau Trio. It is a catchy jazz version of the Oasis classic. The tune is recognizable enough in the piano and bass parts that Katy looked at me and said “What the fuck! That is Wonderwall!” Tuesday Grand Archive had their moment with Sleepdriving on Tuesday. Austin TV had the Monday week opener with an interesting number in El Secreto (De las Luciérnagas). I barely speak Spanish as it is so the techno meets new way eighties music didn’t help my translation. The music is sort of interesting, but not really my cup of tea.
On the movies front I finally got Alvin and the Chipmunks and will give it a watch as soon as I let Liam have his TV privileges back. Barring that he is back to school on Monday, giving me plenty of time to indulge my inner kid. Ian at Just a Guy Thing gives us 27 Of The Greatest Movie Kill Scenes Ever Made. I’ve seen quite a number of these and definitely agree with their inclusion.
Last but not least we lost Ramiele Malubay on Idol. It was a moment sad to see her go this week for the simple fact I don’t get to see many hot asian women on TV that can sing. Unfortunately she was the last of the really hot ones, which leaves us with far less attractive, but just just as girly David Archuletea to massacre more music next week. Hopefully Daddy will ground him and forbid him to play idol next week.

“The South Korean government has named a female mechanical engineer as its first person to go to space after replacing its initial choice at the request of Russian space authorities.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said at a news conference Monday that Yi So-yeon will replace Ko San as the country’s choice to fly on a Russian Soyuz capsule to the International Space Station in early April
South Korea originally named Ko as its candidate in September, but Lee Sang-mok, a senior ministry official, said Russia’s Federal Space Agency asked for a replacement last month because Ko had violated regulations at a Russian space training center.” read more | digg story
The moral of the main story is like all astronauts Dr Yi So-yeon is incredibly smart, and even luckier than she is smart. While smart women are a big turn on for me, she is also physically hot. I would put her up there in the hotness category of my other two famed Korean Space goers Grace Park as BSG’s Boomer and Enterprises Hoshi Sato.
